Handling, Maintenance and Quality
Handling
-
The disks are soft, thin foils or plates. Care should be taken to transport and handle the disks. For example, bumping, wrinkling, or fingerprinting the dome may cause a low-pressure rupture.
- Please refer to the instruction manual attached to the Rupture Disk.Handling of the reversing Rupture Disk requires control of tightening torques, etc.Read the instruction manual before proceeding carefully.
Maintenance
-
The burst pressure of the Rupture Disk may drop due to physical attack such as normal operating pressure and temperatures, and chemical attack due to fluids and atmospheres. Replace it with a new spare disc every year, even if it does not burst under normal operating conditions, including maintenance and inspection. In addition, abnormal pressure may be applied to the Rupture Disk or it may rupture due to mounting of the Rupture Disk during pressure resistance testing of packs and pipes, error/operation during trial operation, or pressure instability until normal operation is started. In view of the above, please prepare several spare disks.
Quality
Since Rupture Disk is one of the safety devices, its quality-control is particularly stringent.
We ensure thorough control of the JIS B 8226, the HPIS-101, and other in-house standards, and conduct manufacturing and inspections to ensure that users are fully confident in all processes, from the receipt of materials to the shipment of products. In addition, the ISO 9001 qualifications and the control system are used to enhance the testing facilities, enabling various tests ranging from φ10 to φ900.
