Environmental policy
VTEX Corporation recognizes that preservation of the global environment is one of the most important issues faced by humanity, and will work to reduce the environmental impact of its corporate organizations as a whole.
In order to reduce environmental impact through all activities, products, and services, VTEX Corporation will establish an environmental management system based on the following policies to promote management activities related to the design, manufacture, and sales of various types of Valve for vacuum, Rupture Disk (safety devices against excessive pressures), vacuum equipment, and precision machinery and components, in order to achieve harmony with the global environment.
- We are always aware of the environmental impacts of our activities, products, and services, and we are working to prevent environmental pollution and continually improve our environmental management activities.
- We comply with environmental laws and regulations relating to our activities, products and services, and other requirements we agree with.
- We will make every effort to conserve resources, conserve energy, recycle and reuse, and value the environment.
- We will endeavor to preserve the natural environment and living environment of local communities.
In order to achieve the above policies, we set targets, regularly review them, and promote our environmental management system.

Since 1961, the Tokai Factory has been located in Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture (formerly Katsuta City), and has grown as the city grew.
Today, we have established Tokyo Head Office, Osaka Branch Office, and overseas bases (South Korea: VTEX KOREA Co., Ltd.; United States: VTEX America Inc.; China: VTEX Shanghai Co.; Ltd.), and we are expanding our business in Japan and overseas. We believe that continuing to develop the Tokai Factory as a "mother factory" will lead to the revitalization of local communities and industries.
APPROACH TO ENVIRONMENT
Prevention of environmental pollution caused by chemical substances
Recycled Resources Storage Site
We have established a recycling resource storage facility to efficiently collect valuable metals and prevent soil pollution caused by chemical substances.This facility is a temporary storage area for metal scraps and non-conforming products (scraps) generated by metal mechanics to be separated by shape and type and sold as valuable materials to vendors. It is equipped with a slide type cover that surpasses the weather outside, and a dedicated bucket that separates (filters) chemical substances such as cutting oil and grease inside.
Plant wastewater purification system
Water used for parts cleaning and cutting oil separated at recycled resource storage sites are decomposed and atomized by a plant wastewater purifier, and discharged in a state that meets voluntary regulations.Oil and fat treatment agents used in our equipment are made from environmentally friendly natural materials. We also conduct periodic water quality inspections by specialized agencies to ensure that soil and water pollution do not occur.
Chip compressor
The chips discharged from metal machining workplaces are compacted and solidified in situ to separate the adhering cutting oil and moisture.The compaction of chips not only makes effective use of space-saving work spaces, but also contributes to the improvement of production efficiency by reducing transportation costs to recycled resource storage sites.It is also expected to be effective in preventing oil spills and odors from occurring outside the Tokai Factory(recycling destination).
