VTEX recognizes the serious issues of human rights abuse and environmental destruction carried out by armed groups in conflict-affected regions and high-risk areas.
These armed groups are reported to fund their activities through the trade of conflict minerals, including tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold, and cobalt.
VTEX is committed to ensuring that its procurement and use of minerals does not contribute to conflict or inhumane acts.
Going forward, we will continue to address conflict mineral issues in close collaboration with our customers and business partners.
We ask our business partners to endorse our approach and activities regarding Responsible Mineral Procurement, and to cooperate with us in excluding from our products, components, and materials any minerals associated with risks — including human rights violations, labor issues, environmental concerns, and smelter risks — through surveys and due diligence.
In the unlikely event that risks are identified within our supply chain, we will request that the relevant business partners take corrective action.
